Study to
compare investigational compound with existing therapies for
advanced melanoma
Clinical trial currently enrolling patients
A research study is underway
at 45 sites in the United States and up to 60 sites globally
to compare how long patients with advanced melanoma live
when they get the investigational compound to how long
patients live when they get either dacarbazine or
temozolomide, two of the available drug treatment options.
This Phase III study, known as A3671009, is seeking adults
(18 years of age and older) with surgically incurable Stage
IIIC or
IV melanoma
who have received no prior chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or
biologic therapy for the treatment of metastatic melanoma.
The investigational
compound, ticilimubab, is a fully human monoclonal antibody.
It is being studied to determine if it can stimulate
patients’ immune systems to attack their tumors.
